My son aged 3 yr 2 months has been suffering from cold since 5 days and cough since yesterday...we used cheston cold,no cold syrups..From yesterday we are giving T-Minic 2 ml for 3 times a day...He is coughing alot and his throat is paining too...He was diagnosed with tonsillitis a month back...As medicines are not showing much impact I am thinking to give Nebulization to my son..can I give it??If yes plz prescribe the medicine to use and frequency per day...My son is 12 kg..and very active normally...plz suggest diet too...He eats only curd rice..Do I need to stop it??plz rply

Nebulisation doesn't help cough due to tonsillitis,it generally helps if your son is having a wheeze which a doctor has to diagnose.Secondly antibiotics do not decrease the cough.cough takes 7-10 days to subside.Third it's better to avoid curd if he is cough a lot as curd may aggravate his cough in certain conditions.Show a doctor who will prescribe you appropriate medicines for the cough
