If she is active and passing urine, continue the same. It's likely viral infection. She will improve in a couple of days. Please visit a pediatrician for check up and confirmation
Syrup/tablet Paracetamol to be given 6 th hourly based on weight of the child for fever .Here you mentioned calpol 250 syrup which contains paracetamol 250 mg.Need to check wether the dose you are giving is sufficient or not.If the symptoms present beyond 2 days or not subsided with home based management, you have to consult paediatrician immediately.
Most children with fever, cold, and cough for 1–2 days have a viral infection that improves with supportive care. Continue Calpol in the correct dose according to your child’s weight only when fever is present. Encourage plenty of fluids, adequate rest, and steam inhalation if there is nasal congestion.
Next Steps
If fever persists beyond 3 days, breathing becomes fast or difficult, your child is unusually drowsy, refuses to drink fluids, or symptoms worsen, please consult a pediatrician for an examination.
Health Tips
Avoid starting antibiotics without medical evaluation, as most viral infections do not require them. Keep your child well hydrated and monitor for any warning signs.
Greetings
For a 7-year-old child, give 5ml of Calpol 250 syrup up to 4 times a day, strictly keeping a gap of at least 4 hours between doses.Avoid giving it "as and when" without measuring, and do not exceed 4 doses in a 24-hour period to prevent liver risk.Keep her well-hydrated with water, warm fluids, or clear soups, and encourage plenty of bed rest to aid her recovery.Use saline nasal drops to ease cold symptoms and a honey-based rinse or steam inhalation to soothe her throat and cough.Monitor her temperature regularly with a digital thermometer rather than relying only on how warm her skin feels to the touch.
For fever - Syrup Calpol 250mg 5ml every 6th hourly if temperature present
For Cold- Syrup Montair lc kid 5ml daily night for 3days
For Cough - Syrup Mucolite 5ml morning and night for 3days
