Today i consulted doctor. Doctor suggested to give paracip syrup 3.5ml. Can i give 3.5ml of syrup to 4 months old baby?

You have not mentioned weight of your child and the strength prescribed Let suppose according to 4 months age your child would be weighing around 5 kg approximately, and paracip 125mg/5ml has been prescribed if so you can give 3.5 ml of it

Dosage of medications in case of children is highly dependant on the weight of the baby. Please let me know the weight of the baby as well as the strength of the paracip syrup you have with you.Is it 250mg/5ml or 125 mg/5ml?

Greetings Pediatric paracetamol dosing depends entirely on weight rather than age. Paracip syrup may contain a lower concentration of paracetamol compared to concentrated drops. This difference in concentration is why a larger volume, such as 3.5 ml, is required to deliver the correct amount. Always use the exact measuring device that came with the medicine bottle to avoid any dosing mistakes
