Hi, this is fr my son. He is 3 years and 2 months. Weighs around 21kg n 3ft tall. He has dry cough fr past 3 days, regular chericough syrup was 3 times, 4ml per time. Cough still persists though home remedy of honey was occasionally tried too. Pls prescribe further. Thanks.

Do not worry too much.. It will take time.. Cough can persist till 2 weeks.
Watch for danger signs like fast breathing (>40/min), poor feeding, persisting high grade fever, not passed urine for 10 hours.
If there is no danger sign and child is otherwise active and alert and playful; do not worry. In children most infections are viral and it takes times. If symptoms persists it is better to consult nearby doctor.

I agree with Dr Rahul Verma. Just to add to that, if the cough is worse @ night, find out if your son is has wheeze by consulting a pediatrician. Some children start wheezing after viral infection. They may need medicines to relieve wheezing.
