Recently Answered Questions on Left side discomfort under ribs

Hello, I got my colonoscopy done in 2023 july month and the reason behind getting that done. Is because of calprotectin levels coming to 567 mcg/gm I immediately went to my gastroenterologist and get the colonoscopy done the next day. Colonoscopy report attached along with biopsy report as well. After biopsy report doctor told me it was due to infection in intestine and he prescribed me rifagut for 2 weeks. I followed the prescription and after a month I repeated the calprotectin test and it was normal. This was in August 2023. So from that month to may 2025 I have done 4-5 calprotectin test reports and all were coming normal only and I consulted everytime to a gastroenterologist for those reports and everyone told me my issue is IBS only. Symptoms are of abdomen discomfort, stool type changes sometimes. No blood in stool as I have done occult blood test as well everytime I do calprotectin test. I have anxiety and overthinking issues which is very much from past 1.5 years.

I have pain radiating to both my legs from 3 months. I have L4, L5-S1 disc bulge, and recently I’ve been experiencing hand pain, particularly in the morning after waking up. The pain feels pinching and shifts between wrist and fingers, resembling a nerve-related discomfort. However, NCV tests of all four limbs came back normal, and Vitamin B12 levels are also normal. I wanted to ask: 1. Could this hand pain be connected to the L5-S1 disc bulge, or is it likely a separate issue? 2. How long does such nerve-related recovery typically take, assuming it’s posture-related or due to inflammation?

My boy is 2 years old. His weight is 14 kg, and basically very active, eating and playing very well. Some times i noticed him suddenly he touching his forehead  either left and right and calling me amma amma... Which looks like that he is having some discomfort or pain something..  when  i asked him what happened then immediately he ll be alright and  some times he ll laugh and  at the spot he went back to his own activities .. only few seconds he will do like this not daily , Otherwise he don't have any symptoms like headache...or frequently  touching head  and crying  ..  Or any other illness.. always very active sleeping and playing very well Why he is doing like this for few seconds ... Is this headache  , or any activity of immitation .... Should I evaluate something??? Please help  me..

Hello! I had sex last year and due to rough sex I accidentally cut my frenulum (very little cut) , after that it got healed itself naturally but the tissue connecting the tip of the penis to the lower end - in between that a very little part is seen (scar tissue) . I want to be doubly sure if i can have unprotected sex or not . I haven't had rough sex after that incident, only had sex with condom , everything was ok but i don't feel the same way as i felt earlier during sex , a little discomfort while have unprotected sex. Please help! How can i be confident again with any sex positions?

I had a complete eye check-up 1–2 months ago with an ophthalmologist, including a retina exam, and everything was normal. Lately, I'm facing blurry or unfocused vision while wearing my specs, especially while using screens. I need to consciously focus my eyes to see clearly. Without specs, I can see nearby objects clearly but not distant ones. I also experience light sensitivity — bright lights, screens, and headlights often cause discomfort and even headaches. I feel it may be related to digital eye strain or photophobia or migraine. My glasses are from Vision Express. Could this be due to screen exposure, or something else? I have amblyopia in one eye. Kindly advise.

My son is 7.5 months old.He has developed small red bumps on his neck and upper chest area (please see the attached photos). The rash looks like tiny red spots, and it started appearing recently. He doesn’t have a fever or major discomfort, but I'm a bit concerned. We try to keep him cool and dry, and he’s otherwise feeding and sleeping normally. Could you please advise if this looks like a heat rash or something else? Also, do we need to apply any cream or medicine, or take any precautions?

My wife is 32 weeks pregnant with foetus weight 1.8kgs. Her Amniotic fluid index is 26.9 cm and cervix length is 12 mm. Bile acid is currently at 22 and LFT test numbers are also deranged. Her Fasting Glucose is around 90-93 which we monitor daily. How can we manage this situation if it goes to a preterm delivery. She currently has no discomfort or any other issues. It would be of great help if we can get advice on how to manage this with minimum risks. Thank you.

My father recently had his routine usg scan and we found a 78mm cyst on his left kidney. Though it's type 1 we are still a bit worried as the previous report (done in Aug 2024) didn't mention anything about the cyst and suddenly this time we found it. Can you kindly check the previous scan and let me know if it had the cyst in the scan and the radiologist somehow missed it? I'm attaching both the new and old scan pictures for your reference. He doesn't have any discomfort and he's on medication due to the residual urine issue.

For the past three months, I have been facing health issues. It started with chest pain and stomach discomfort. When I go to bed, I can feel my heartbeat—it sometimes beats very fast, other times slow and hard. I consulted a cardiologist and a general physician. Blood tests, ECG, and Echo were done, and everything came back normal. One morning, I woke up with dizziness and head spinning. The doctor said it was stress-related and prescribed PLACIDA tablets for 15 days. However, when I stopped taking the medicine, the symptoms returned. Now, I experience a strange sensation in my head and find it difficult to concentrate on work. I have started meditation, but I still feel uncomfortable. Can anyone suggest ways to get relief from this weird feeling in my brain?

I have PCOS and my periods are usually not this light. Last time I had an accident (am sexually active) and the condom broke and we didn't realise it until after he had cum. So i took unwanted 72, a week after that, i started spotting (was too light to be considered a period in my opinion?) But i was spotting for 5 days. I have been told to induce my periods if I don't get them for more then 30 days as later it causes me alot more discomfort. Following that I had the meds to induce my periods after a upt that was negative. I have started bleeding again but this is just as light (if not lighter) than the previous bleeding I experienced. Is this spotting or my period? Need clarity
