My boyfriend is in depression. I want to know about depression and how to help him get out of this. He's nice to everyone his friends and me. But he thinks no one listens to him.

My mother has been experiencing some symptoms like feeling like someone is controlling her and talking to her in her head,hearing voices,staring into the void for sometime,lost interest in socializing,and sometimes nodding  to the conversations she has in her mind along with some gestures...I noticed all this a few months before and my aunt has schizophrenia so I suspect this is inherited. I quite suspect it's the same with my mother that I guess it  triggered bcuz of the surgery she had 2 years ago and now she needs support walking that she quite stopped going out and need a second surgery...so I would be glad if someone could give me some clarity and how to deal with this matter...

The doctor prescribe atomoxetine under the brand name Axepta? I find it pricey. Are there any other more affordable brands available?

Symptoms: 1. Outside my mouth shuts down I communicate via head/hand gestures. 2. I don't feel comfortable in looking at people's face which results in not remembering faces of people. 3. I'm not good at explaining, so people don't get my thoughts I complicate basic conversation. 4. I ghost people, but in heart I like them but I feel exhausted to talk/msg them frequently so I text after weeks or months. 5. I get suicidal thoughts but have control on them from past 3 years but can't even out of that gutter. 6. I was extrovert and emotional since childhood but from past few years I'm becoming introvert and less sympathetic. 7. I want to travel and meet people but after getting ready to go out I cancel plans as I feel tired from thought of going out. 8. I either eat nothing for days or overeat till I feel nauseous and get sick. 9. I have trust issues and commitment issues so I don't get in relationship and always question everyone in my mind. 10. I sleep for 15+ hours still feel sleepy.

Hello Doctors, I am writing to seek advise for my brother. He is 38 and has been taking medication for insomnia for many years. From past few years, there has been big shift in his overall personality and attitude. He is not married and unemployed. After exhausting all the family funds, he took several small loans from the banks without consulting anyone. He has been living with mother and pretty blame everyone for all the failures in life, especially mother, who has always been protective about him. He has been changing and taking medicines, not sure for what all symptoms. He also becomes violent with mother and has been constantly keeping her under pressure asking for money. He threatens her by saying that he will do something if she doesn't make the funds available for him. He doesn't want to work, but rather have very ambitious plans of doing business and also getting married, settling with kids. Nothing wrong with this, however his acts and thoughts are not aligned. Please advise
