Hie I am 23 year female I have recently diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroiditis but no weight gain My question is does hypothyroiditis always cause weight gain?

Doesn't cure even after endless efforts mainly attack liver& pancreas.daily takes 16-16-16 units of insulin before meal.

TSH range higher than normal Last year it was 7.19 this year 9.46 only symptom is weight loss from 56 to 47 in 2 years

My mother is diabetic n she uses glycomet sr-500. Is she type 1 or 2. Is IME 9 will helpful to her?
