Hello doctor. My mother has knee on knee so doctor has suggested knee replacement surgery and for temporary relief we are going ahead with intraarticular knee injection. He asked to do certain blood test before that. ESR test result is 110 mm/hr although ref range is 0 to 20. He asked to consult physician to understand reason for high value. Pls suggest

Today while i was feeding a stray dog in my area i gave it a slice of bread..While giving the brad, the dog caught the bread from one end and i was catching the bread from one end..I dont know exactly whether the saliva came in contact with my finger or not.. But one mistake i did was without washing the hands after feeding the dog i poked on one side of my nostrils cause it was itching..Will i get rabies??as on internet i saw it can transfer through mucous membrane..I don't have any cut or wound anywhere...Please help me..Do i need vaccine?

Hi, I'm a 29-year-old woman with typically light periods lasting 2 days. Recently, I've noticed delays, 15 days late in February and again 15 days late in June. 71 yrs, hypertension. BP usually remains in 145/87 range.  Is on betablocker carvedilol 3.125 twice a day. It does go normal in 130 120 after med n sometimes remain in 140 n 150 too.  Has early cirrhosis. Sometimes it does go to 150/90, 160/90 with headache before meds.  Heart rate mostly in 70s , 80s. My question is when BP is high and there is still time to take the routine bp meds, can it be taken early when BP is high? Before taking meds if BP remains in 150 or 160 is it advised to add other bp medicine or increase current dose? Have'nt got a proper expert answer for this yet.  Seeking good experienced suggestion particularly for BP around 160/90 n dosage or additional med.
