Hello doctors! Can anyone please explain me what is forme fruste keratoconus and Keratoconus? It's too confusing. There is no proper definition to define FFKC.

Hi doctor, I wear glasses from my childhood, I have minus power. suddenly I noticed some purplish spot on the outer corner of the white part of my left eye. There is no irritation and stuff like that. Just the spot. I am attaching the picture of it with my query. Can you please tell me do I need to visit an ophthalmologist physically urgently ?? Is there anything to be worried about?? I haven't checked my eyes since many years. Thanks.

My left eye is very red from past few days ;no ittichiness but it is causing a lot of trouble like pain and it gets teary at times I have consulted a doctor who gave me eye drops but they are not giving any relief what should I do?

Ok so I mistakenly splashed some super glue droplets on my eyes and it started burning and I felt irritation. I immediately consulted an opthalmologist and he removed the frozen glue from my left eye using a med(liquid) and small forceps but he left the right eye as there was only a small amount of cluster in there. Then he prescribed me 4 medicines, 3 of which are eye drops and the 4th one is an ointment. The irritation is gone by now (On the very first day ) but I'm left with these eye drops and ointment. So, my question is for how long should I use them? List of medicines and time schedules : 1. Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium Eye Drops IP ; 4 times a day(1/1 drop) 2. Moxifloxacin Eye Drops IP ; every 2 hours (1/1 drop) 3. Tripicamide Eye Drops IP ; Left Eye Only ; Twice a day (1 drop) 4. Ocupol Antibiotic Eye Ointment ; Before bed (Both Eyes) Again my question is, for how long should I be using them?... The irritation is already over... Please reply... Thank you..😊

I had got a slight painful boil on my left eyelid which I suppose developed due to heat. The swelling had increased then subsided but due to excess strain by constant use of laptop and sleeplessness the boil has become bigger and it has swollen and become blackish too. It's been 2 weeks now. It doesn't seem to subside or go off. I even tried dabbing a cloth dipped in hot water on my eye lid to make it subside but that hasn't helped either. Could someone please advise on what can be done? Thanks.

I had retinal detachment with macula off for more than 6 months and had vitrectomy . After my first surgery i got another detachment and had again vitrectomy with silicon oil and now my vision is very blurry and distorted and also I can see some shadows . I thought it can be another detachment so I went to my surgen and checked up by him and he told everything is normal . So my question is that is it possible to see shadow in side vison without detachment ?

I have eye infection in my left eye and vision problem in right eye. The eye continues watery and reddening. In case of right eye, there is some blurry vision.

I've got severe pain in left recently .. I went meet eye specialist then he checked my eye pressures was left 30 and right eye was 22 (in July ).. then he said u have glaucoma .. he didn't done any perimetry ...he checked fundus image..it didn't damaged optic nerve..then I've started taking medicine timolol & travatan .. now pressure 16 in both eyes(oct ) ... after that I've started seen floaters in my left eye .. and went see retina specialist he said no need medicine everything is fine ...then after some time I started feeling left eye increasing in blur .. then again went to meet him.. he said u need take glasses (oct) now I'm developing doubled vision in left .. why I'm seeing ?! Please can anyone help me.. I'm attaching my fundus image and pressure history..I don't have any BP or Sugar..

I have very interesting question please. When dilated eye exam is performed by opthalmologist to check the retina 1. Can it detect posterior vitreous detachment 2. If there is no PVD visible during dilation, can opthalmologists check for the consistency of the gel as well? Like how much it is solid and how much it is liquified giving a rough idea to when PVD will take place in future. Do dilated exams have the ability to check for the quality of gel basically?

Near my location I consult eye doctor after using aciclovir ointment,moxifloxacin eye drops and aciclovir dispersible tablets 400mg ,5 tablets per day but after using these for 10 days but doctor suggested to go cornea clinic .my eye on cornea pinkness not gone and also blurred vision not totally clear.is it a major problems to go to cornea clinic?
