Hi my mother is 68 years old and she is highly diabetic. She is currently on glycomet gp .5mg and carded H-2.5 for her BP .. she is also proscribed with trimega-wah 1mg all tablets to be taken once every day.. From past 1 week she has swollen legs which are sometimes painfull and sometimes not .. She complaints about heavy breathing in the night sometimes only Even though she is diabetic her sugar levels are between 50 and 75 only during random checks prior and 2 hours post eating pls advise

My father had undergone a bypass surgery on 14.03.2018 and he is diabetic since 43 years of age. During CABG he was put on insulin (before that he used to take only Glyzid) . Now after discharge he was prescribed to take insulin actrapid (before breakfast and lunch) and mixtrad (before dinner) . On 25th he had hypoglycaemia with sugar level 33 measured at hospital. Kindly suggest how to maintain the doses of insulin and how to decide which insulin to give and how much quantity. We are in possession of BG 03 gluco plus testing kit for blood sugar level. How frequently we should test the sugar level .

I am taking Ziten M in the morning before breakfast, can i take the same medicine at night also before food? i generally eat more at night

My father is 64 years of age having diabetes from last 20 years. Taking medicines of course. His doc has changed his medicine from last 1.5 month and after which he feels weak , sluggish and dizzy sometimes. His sugar levels are fluctuating a lot. Thus effecting bp too. His random and general sugar levels are in the range of 200 to 250. Off late he has had episodes of shivering, ghabraahat and dip in bp which has never happened before. During the time of ghabraahat his sugar levels were 200 something but bp didn't show on the monitor. Has happened a couple of times ...When he is lil stable and reaches to a doc..His bp comes as normal. He feels weak and numb during that ghabraahat phase. What could be the reason of all this? Is it the effect of some medicines? These are the medicines he is taking.. Telsartan H for bp Tenlimac M 1000 twice a day for sugar POP DSR for gas Ecospirin Jubinerv Pregator Plz advice.

I am a type 1 diabetic ,insulin dependant.Today while I was injecting insulin in my thigh I saw blood coming out and some amount of it mixed in the cartridge too. Should I take this insulin or not ?
