My father is 74yr old .fasting sugar level is 93 nd after 2hr breakfast level is 226.he is diabetic .how to control

Hi. I am 38 years male having weight of 93 which persists from last2 years. No weight gain or lost at all.From last 5 days i feel thurst at sone times of the day. Today i conduct hba1c which is 9.8 surprisingly. I have no diabetic history as 2 years back it was 4.5 hba1c. No diabetes in parents. No visionry problem in eyes, no fatigue, BP is always normal. Please guide
