My father is having diabetic foot in his legs and wound is not getting healed it's been long time .We already went through angioplasty twice ,so blood circulation should not be a cause .Kindly help me and suggest me out with it .Grateful to all advisors and Doctors

I have been detected with diabetes 2 month back . since then I have controlled my diet and also lost 4 kg , my BMI came down to 26.6 from 28 . My HBA1C has come at 9.4% , hence doctors here has prescribed me 2000mg metformin. But I am having some issues with loose motion. can I reduce my dose to 1000 mg . Also I heard that too much metformin might affect my kidneys too . Please advise
