My mother's nose had broken about 3 years ago and now she has a complaint of excessive mucus building in nose (similar to severe cold). What can be the possible causes? What are some suggested home remedies?

I suddenly started with symptoms like congested nose and thick jelly like mucus, that too with blood initially which stopped coming after some time since past 3-4 days. I went to ent today, he put a thin endoscope kind of thing and said its nasal polyp. I am scared like why did it happen to me. So, since last 2-3 says i was seeing some blood streaks when i pulled the congested mucus from back of my throat(from sinus), it had reduced yesterday and today when i got the congested mucus out there was no blood streaks thankfully. However, during past 3-4 days, i have seen in morning my right nose will be a bit congested until this congested mucus comes out. Today it came out and i just took a picture it was yellowish thick jelly like congested mucus. I am scared if this some infection or allergy or something. I do not want to go on antibiotics as starting from jan every month i have been on antibiotics due to some other issues, and i had a bad case of gastritis recently. Please guide me what to do. I am scared. This congestion occurs only once and once the mucus is gone, my right nostril becomes compeltely free to breathe. Plewze guide me
