Doctor's Opinion on my Dust Allergy

Hi doctor, I have been diagnosed in my teens with dust allergy. In the diagnosis, it was shown that I have a high eosinophil count. My nasal septum is also deviated to the left, making the left nostril almost completely blocked. The right nostril due to my allergy, has swelling, nasal polyps. I sneeze a lot when there's dust or when the allergy triggers. My breathing is impacted by this a lot, and I have to keep using oxymetazoline hydrochloride (nasivion spray) to keep my nose unblocked. I have been prescribed some allergy related medicine before, but it only reduces the problem, doesn't fix it for good. I don't want to be dependent on a nasal spray to breathe normally, so I'd like to know your opinion and suggestions. Looking forward to your reply, as this is the first time I'm seeking online doctor help. Thanks, Sushant.

Continuous cough from more than a 2 yrs

I have a cough problem (dry cough) and its from more than 2 yrs now. I have done several treatments, got admitted to the hospital consulting chest physician, had different antibiotics as a medication but still the cough is not gone. After taking medicine it gets fine for 2 to 3 days but again I start getting the cough. I also had allergy test but the allergy shown does not seems to trigger my cough because the food allergy mentioned is already been left by me a long back. Dust Allergy can be a issue but then i also get cough even when i am with my mask on inside my house as well. I always feel some kind of irritation in my throat which make me cough. It feels like mucus is stuck in my throat and i feel to clear my throat again n again. Attaching latest treatment and medical reports. ALLERGY REPORT: Mid high allergy of Milk, Cheese, Tomato, Capsicum, Dog Danger, Housedustand Curd. High allergy of housedustmite Mild allergy of perfume and brufen

Hypertrophy in inferior turbinates & DNS

Hi doctor, How common is the case of dust allergy, coupled with a deviated nasal septum and nasal polyps? I've been diagnosed in my teens, about 6 years ago, of having dust allergy. The eosinophil count was high, (18%) which according to my previous doctor, is permanent allergy. My concern apart from my allergy triggering when I am in a dusty environment is that I have a DNS on the left, and nasal polyps in the right nostril. This makes breathing a challenge. I've been prescribed a 50mg ciclesonide nasal spray, but that hardly helps me relieve the congestion. I'm not sure what the doctor had in mind, but I'm sure there is a good reason I'm unaware of. Since that spray doesn't help, I use an oxymetazoline hydrochloride IP 0.05% spray (OTC Nasivion) to help relieve the congestion and make it easier to breathe. But there's some rebound congestion which is just very annoying. I would like to stop using the spray and pursue a permanent line of treatment. What's your recommendation?

Nasal Septum Deviation and Nasal Polyps

Hi doctor, I'd like to ask you about the relationship between a deviated nasal septum, nasal polyps and dust allergy. Does having a permanent dust allergy worsen nasal polyps over time? I'm sensitive to dust which causes me to sneeze excessively and block my nose pretty much completely. The deviated nasal septum worsens this situation and makes it almost impossible to breathe. The nasal polyps too obstruct the nasal pathway, making it challenging to breathe, sleep, etc. I've been using OTC nasal sprays to relieve some of this congestion, but I've been experiencing rebound congestion as a result. I would want to not continue using a nasal spray but I have no other choice but to use it, if I am to breathe easier. I'm also starting to notice my insensitivity to mild smells. Do you think a septoplasty and nasal polyp removal is a last resort step for me, or could there be a non surgical operation to pursue? If the surgery is unavoidable, how long would recovery take?
