Chest & Breathing Problems

I've been experiencing pain on the left side of my chest, and I've noticed a noticeable dent in that area. And I have had a dry cough for more than a year  . It's been bothering me and I'm concerned about what it could be.

I've been a smoker on & off for past 9 years and a regular one from last 1 year. I've decided to quit this habit and finally taking steps towards it. Lately I experienced mild shortness of breath and heavy chest after smoking a cigarette. It's causing me too much anxiety as well. So much so that it's hampering my day to day work. I haven't smoked for 2 days today. Please guide.

Hi I am undergoing TB treatment for past one month.Yesterday I found blood in my sputum for the first time.Is it's normal?

My husband coughing from last one week it was a severe nd productive cough. firstly he was not on any medicine only taking steam but 3 days ago in the morning he had some blood streak in the sputum only for 2 times nd whole day the sputum was clear. But we got frightened and visited doctor at manipal hospital after x ray doctor prescribed cepodem, montelucast, foracort after taking these medications for two days cough reduced but today also he got little blood streak in the cough so again went to our doctor he gave omnacortil 20mg and today afternoon he took the first dose of this medicine&from today evening his cough comparatively very less than yesterday, so my question is how long this steroid medicine takes time to work?one dose of  steroid can reduce the cough significantly? Or it's the effect of antibiotic nd foracort? Actually I'm terrified cause i heard that some time setroid can hide serious illness so if my husband's cough is due to any serious illness can steroid hide this ?

Can empiric treatment be given based on symtoms only? My chest CT scan with contrast was done and it's totally normal and even chest X-ray is normal. All my test report like genexpert and cbnaat , crp , ESR everything is negative. But still I am having similar symtoms of TB. Can empiric treatment be started in these case? Even my bronchoscopy that was done is normal.

Started with a throat infection, i took amoxyclav for 5 days given by ent. On 3rd day, the cough/phlegm from chest came out to be yellowish thick in the morning. Maybe i coughed a lot forcefully, bright red blood came with mucus. I consulted pulmonologist after the antibiotics course, he said acute bronchitis. I was started with bronchitis clear 2x for 3 days. Cough improved, no more thick cough but sometimes after waking up i do get dry cough and after sometimes i need to clear phlegm from chest, little but clear mucus with small bubbles. Apart from that when i palpate on the rib bone it feels tender, both left and right side, but no pain when i breathe in and out deep.. feels inflamed like costocondriotis. What should I do now? I do feel weak after this illness too. Please guide me. Cough has reduced like 70-80%. No fever or anything. Was this something viral? What other medicine do I need to take along with this to recover faster? Or is this asthma?
