My partner is a 31 year old woman. (We are a same sex couple). Cancer runs in her family. Her mother died of breast cancer when she was only 34 years old. Her mother's sister also had breast cancer after that and might probably have it again. Her mother's sister is currently 55 years old. So, what are the chances that my partner might get cancer in the future too? She will be going for a BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene test. What if she has inherited the cancer gene? If so, will it be breast cancer or any kind of cancer? She also smokes occasionally but wants to quit it. What can she do to prevent it?

Hi, My mother has been diagnosed with vaginal melanoma in December 2024, followed by surgery at the site to remove the cyst. We have done 18 cycles of immunotherapy with keytruda injection and 6cycles of chemo therapy, now condition is not good, still disease is progressing, there are vaginal growth that came outside and inner body as well. We did radiation for vaginal growth as well, now my mother is not stable, unable to eat properly, all medicines are allergic and loss all muscles as well. Currently left side of the face is swelling and right eye is bulged. How we can proceed further. Any doctors can be available for video consultation since she is not stable to visit the doctors at the hospital.

Hi doctor I am 42 year old..i have cold urticaria from  from 2011..is this a sign of cancer ?.. Whenever I visited doctor they just give antihistamine tablets..only cetrizine .whenever I expose myself to cold air or rain...urticaria and itching will form all over the body.. i couldn't stop itching for few min..unless my body comes to warm temperature And i have itching in between leg fingers.. Can you please suggest what are the blood test should be done Thanks

My father has urdergone surgery for oral cancer in February 2026 and required no further treatment like radiation or chemo. I wanted to know if he can use Nusil ultra gel for the surgical scar now on his face( around mouth and neck). Is it safe from an oncological point of view?

She has a ulcer about 2.5 cm from last 45 days. She takes normal medication like orasore, omiprazol etc but not recover. She done biopsy also but report not understood. So need to consult what can I do and explain the attached report.

She has severe, persistent pain around the chest, upper back, shoulder and arm. She describes it as a pinched nerve, pressure on a nerve, or a bursting sensation. Pulmonary embolism, pneumonia, pneumothorax, fractures and obvious bone damage were not identified. Her leukemia and hematology investigations have largely been normal, including blood counts, hemoglobin and platelets. No clear evidence of leukemia or another blood cancer has been found. Most autoimmune, inflammatory, liver, kidney and coagulation tests were also unremarkable.

Hello Doctor. My father has tongue squamous cell carcinoma. He received 3 cycles of chemotherapy (Nov-Jan), and the tumor shrank significantly. He then completed 36 radiation sessions, after which it reduced even further. However, after 3 months of oral chemotherapy tablets, the cancer has progressed. Our local oncologist says there is almost no chance of survival, but I don't want to lose my father without exploring every possible option. Is there any treatment—different chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, surgery, re-irradiation, embolization, or a clinical trial—that could shrink the tumor, improve his airway and swallowing, or even offer a chance of long-term control or cure? Since he responded well to the initial chemotherapy, could another regimen help again? We are willing to travel anywhere in India for the best possible treatment. Thank you.
