Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN)
My grandfather is 80 years old and has been suffering from postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) in both legs for the past 6 years. We consulted neurologists, but he was mainly prescribed painkillers. Later, we started physiotherapy and nerve stimulation therapy, which helped him regain the ability to walk. However, he still can’t sleep at night due to the pain — he spends the entire night sitting up and pressing his legs for relief.
We’re unsure about what treatment to pursue next or which specialist to consult. If anyone has any suggestions or can guide us, we would truly appreciate the help.

Heavy Head
Getting up from bed causes heavy and vertigo type feeling. It lingers on. Focusing on something for too long also causes this. This was created by a vertigo like incident on 27th.
At the moment it's been two days since I've started Vertin 16mg and there isn't any significant improvement.
BP, Echo, ECG, Cheat X-ray were normal.
Vitamin b12 was 136. Nuroday 1500 taken thrice already. After the first dose had felt instantly better (possibly just in my head), post this the symptoms returned.
My S cholesterol was also 282 and LDL around 175. Have started roseday 10mg.
During this period I also had a stomach upset as my physician had prescribed Ciplar LA40 which was taken for 3-4 days then discontinued.
In general waking up in the morning also has a lot of body weakness and head heaviness & dizziness.
What could this be?
