Knee pain, join pain

There is knee cap pain from past 2 days. Tbe pain is not that intense but I feel there is some kind of light pain, due to which the pressure is coming on ankle. I do daily workout might be due to sprain but the pain is only on both the knee joints.In my family, my mother has rheumatoid Arthritis,so could this be hereditary.
