Tooth and Mouth Problems
Cheek hurt in wisdom tooth extract area
I have removed my upper right wisdom tooth in July. No stiches done and it was healing good. I see some hard bump on the gum in August and went back to OS. He told me to wait for 2 weeks and see if it goes in its own. I waited till this week and went back and that bump was giving me pain. I went neck and he said he want to shave that down. He put anesthesia and kind of scraped it for a while. Don't know exactly what he did. Did something like scraping and did stiches. He said stitch dissolve on it's own. Never had dental stitches before and don't know how to identify if it dissolves. From yesterday, I have pain in the cheek( the area inside the mouth which is top of the wisdom tooth extraction and inside the cheek where cheek meets the extraction site). Those area inside is very sore. I see in the mirror and it looks red and looks like some scratching. Don't know if dental work scratched the cheek area and top of the gum area too. Is it normal to have these type of scratching?

Enamel has been eroded
My teeth look yellow and i feel patches of enamel that are removed from them. I even sometimes have bleeding gums but that is occasional.. The main problem is that those yellow teeth don't look good and hence I feel embarrassed when I smile. I need a solution to this problem as of how can I make my teeth white.

I had gum bleeding for 3 4 days in the month of August. But i couldn't pay much attention since I was at hometown. I just avoided toothbrush for those 4 5 days. Last month i observed that a part of my front tooth has lost its white color. It looks sort of yellowish/transparent. Please suggest.

Cheek and gum hurts after stitches
I have extracted my upper wisdom tooth in July. It was healing normally. I see some hard bump on the gum in August.i went back to OMFS and he said to wait till it absorb on it's own or to come back after 2 weeks.I was dealing with lower jaw and neck pain. So I didn't check this out.I went back day before yesterday and he did shave it down. He put anesthesia 3 shots and scraped it so hard and did stiches. I didn't have stiches for the extraction done in July. This is the first time I had stitches.
Since yesterday, I feel very sore pain in the top of the gum area and inside the cheek where it meets the extraction site. I feel some scratches on both the area when I run over my tongue over it. The inside of cheek where it meets the extraction site is sore and not smooth when run over the tongue. I feel like scratches. Also the top of the gum area. Is this normal after that procedure? I didn't have this soreness and pain after extraction. I have the pain now. more on the inside cheek area.

What crown material to choose for molar?
Hi,
I had root canal on tooth #46 in September 1st week. I didnt do crown yet. I had the same symptoms of lower jaw pain and neck pain even after the root canal. So the dentist was suspecting a tooth root fracture in #46 is causing these issues. Then, Endodontist was very sure that he couldn't see any fracture, told me to do crown. My dentist said he will core buildup, including any pins when required and all porcelain crown. I don't know if that including pins means if they insert any pin inside? Is that safe?
And what type of crown do we use normally for crown? I am in USA. They didn't give me option for crown material. I am checking here if I should ask for another material? Is all porcelain crown safe for first lower molar? Any inputs please doctors. Is pin safe inside the tooth? All porcelain crown ok? Thanks for reading.

Crown includes any pins inside tooth?
Hi,
I had rct done on tokth#46 suspecting a fracture. Endodontist couldn't see any fracture and did root canal. I have to do core buildup and crown on it. My dentist has mentioned like core buildup, including any pins when required and porcelain crown placement. I don't know what the pins mean?
Do they put in any screw to our tooth before the crown? Is it safe to have the pin inside? Is it a normal procedure for having the pin before the crown placement?
I am worried to have that metal inside the tooth. It will affect later? Will they remove the pin later or it will be placed forever? Any inputs please.
Is it considered as a metal? I am concerned about my upcoming imaging too. I have few mri and ct to be taken. If this metal inside the mouth, I am not sure if it's considered as metal.
Is placing the pin is must for the crown??
