Tooth and Mouth Problems

I have a cold sore on my inner cheek, and my teeth keep rubing up against it, causing a lot of pain. Is there something I can buy over the counter to make the pain go away. Maybe an instant numbing agent that I can apply directly to the sore.

My mouth is burning while eating food even though it is not spicy and gums are also burning why I'm suffering with this

My child is having cavities. From one tooth there is a toothache from last fw days & it goes in cheek swelling with abnormal pain. One Doctor have advise crocin d's syrup, another advise ibugesic plus,which one shall i use. With crocin d's syrup I seen it works only for 2 hours. After 2 hours same pain. as I can use it upto 4 times,kindly advise.
