I've been having toothache in my left side tooth. I filled this tooth two years ago due to cavity. Now it is painful and unbearable.

I have pericoronitis. The doctor advised the extraction of the wisdom tooth but I prefer to delay the extraction for now. had some swelling in my gums near the wisdom tooth last week but I was prescribed antibiotics and they seem to work very well. Both the swelling and the discomfort have reduced. My question is whether I could delay the extraction of wisdom tooth by a month or not.
