Fine echoes are seen in biliary tree likely see to ?infective pathology. and portal vein appears normal in course and caliber 9mm respectively. Others normal. Kindly explain what all the above indicates ?

Hi Doctor, My mother-in-law( 62 years old) has stone in her gall bladder(Pit kI thaili) and doctor here in Paschim vihar has recommended Operation to remove the gall bladder. As per the doctor its a sleeping stone which is the reason why my mother-in-law doesn't feel any pain, she has Zero symptoms that matches with the Stone patient. However the doctor has advised to go for the surgery as that stone can turned into a cancer. This is the reason why i am writing to you looking for a 2nd opinion.
