Ultrasound shows - Common duct appears dilated (12.4mm) along with few central biliary radicals dilatation. Fine echoes are seen in biliary tree likely see to ?infective pathology. and portal vein appears normal in course and caliber 9mm respectively. Others normal. Kindly explain what all the above indicates ?

Hi, kindly get CECT ABDOMEN ( I.V contrast , Triphasic) with MRCP ( COMBO). THIS MAY BE A CHOLEDOCHAL CYST OR A TUMOUR AT AMPULLA / LOWER END OF COMMON BILE DUCT / STONE AT EBBS OF COMMON BILE DUCT. CHECK GGT AND ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE IN LIVER FUNCTION TEST
