Skin, Hair and Nail Problems

Respected sir/ma'am, I use to have somewhat strong nails previously, they never chipped off or never were they brittle. But since past few years they grow out chipped, brittles and you can practically make them bend without much efforts which leads them to break easily.i don't apply nail paint or anything much. Hardly 4 times a year if I happen to.. Also there is a lot of discoloration in my grown nails.. somewhere it is pale white and somewhere it's literally transparent. My toe nails grow out crusty and bumpy like speed breakers. And when I was a kid I had my entire one toe nail peeled off because of some infection after which it grew weirdly with a permanent slit in the middle.. please help

Hi, I recently got to know that stripes on nails could be a sign of melanoma. I have light black/brown stripes on my thumb and few finger nails. I don't remember exactly when did I get these stripes but I think I have them on my nails for 4-5 years now. Do I need a biopsy??
