My friend had Tuberculosis of rib cage in 2008 & had been cured. What are the possibilities of relapse and also if you could tell me any particular symptoms? He had full body check up six months back and the doctor said there can be chances of relapse or something more severe. I haven't seen the report and don't know the exact diagnosis, I am very concerned about him so Im asking for consultation here. Please also suggest me names of best doctors and diagnostic centres for the same in Bangalore

Hi, my mother is diagnosed with tuberculosis. she started taking the DOTS medication around 4 days back. but her fever is not going away, she is okay in the morning but she gets a fever as high as 102 in the evening. she takes dolo 650 whenever she has high fever but i have been told that it might be injurious to her liver. could you please guide on how to go about it and how soon one can see recovery in atleast her fever and recovery? if she does not recover in that time, i would like to show her to another doctor.

Hello sir I am diagnose with tv in the month of April 2021. It was caught in d MRI in the mid brain I have been continue the medicine since then showing to neurologist but now 1 week before it shows swelling In My neck I have gone through many tests .there is one tests that shows medicine resistance n now doctor change the medicine again however the dose make me fell weak n vomiting and don't fell like having food.every night got fever 8yrs or 9backs I have the history of tuberculosis I did complete the course for almost a year but am not sure how it came back now

Hiiii I'm 19 years old I am diagnosed with Tuberculosis in late January at that time I was feeling weak. But after few months I was feeling better. But from 1 month I have a problem in my eyes at night every light source appear very bright to me. Like sensitivity to light. My face also pains please help me. And from near 40 days I'm having chapped lips I have applied every lip balm, milk and vase line also but it again starts to chap it had never happened with me before my lips was perfect they never chapped I have shown it to my doctor but it says that it is nothing also I feel some weakness. Please help or consult me.

After my pleural effusion test, in which ADA was 90.. I was diagnosed with Extrapulmonary Tuberculosis. I was admitted in a private hospital and was given a few medicines to take on a regular basis. I was asked to take isoniazid and rifampicin empty stomach and Ethambutol and Pyrzanine after food. My doctor asked me to consult a Pulmonologist as I had fluid in my right lung. When I met the Pulmonologist, he took my weight and based on that put me on the DOTS program. Now I take Akurit4 every morning on an empty stomach . My question here is, was it safe to change my course of medication from private to government medications? Will it be a failed treatment? I am very scared!!! I started with the private hospital medicines on 16th March, whereas my medicines were changed on 6th April. Symptomatically, I usually get a temperature between 99-101.. Also, as I have fluid in my chest, the doctor said it'll take time for the fever to subside.

Is it possible if one who had pulmonary tuberculosis and was cured for it can get renal tuberculosis after 2-3 years ?

I was having tuberculosis 1 and 1/2 year back! 1 year back i completed my course! Now I am having stinging chest pain with frothy transparent sputum( I don't know it is from my lungs or throat because I don't cough) whenever I irritate mucus comes but coughing is not happening or happening sometimes after eat  food! I have done x-ray test twice which is normal and sputum twice which is also normal ! Post nasal drip is also there ! But chest pain and frothy mucus is not going! What should I do because doctor is saying we have already tested you for tb twice and you are normal ! Pain started after i went Delhi at the time of diwali pollution and it's been 3 month since I am suffering !

CT-Scan of my mother done at my home town reads "CECT CHEST REVEALS PATCHY AIR SPACE ACINARISATION WITH FEW TINY NODULAR RADIO OPACITIES AND PROMONENT BRONCHO-VASCULAR MARKINGS. MULTIPLE WELL DEFINED CONTRAST ENHANCHING SOFT TISSUE DENSITY LESIONS IN RIGHT PARA TRACHEAL PRE/SUB CARNIAL REGION; POSSIBLITY OF UNDERLYING INFECTIVE ETIOLOGY(TUBERCULAR) " her doctor has diagnosed it as tuberculosis. She has prescribed Rizorine kit for her and says treatment might continue for couple of months. What is puzzling me is that doctor says that it is not contagious. I wonder is this diagnosis correct ?
