Due to unilateral chewing and some dental treatments, my TM joint on the left side clicks and makes a lot of noise. Is this serious? What can I do to prevent it? Will it stop on it's own if I eat from both sides and don't open my mouth too wide?

I am facing difficulty and pain due to TM Joint for last one month. Recently the pain is aggravating in the right ear and in the jaw. Initially i thought it was an ENT problem and consulted an ENT doctor. He diagnosed and confirmed it is a TM Joint issue. He said, it seems like a slight dislocation in the jaws. Have been advised to take Prolozone therapy by a maxillofacial specialist Another specialist had advised surgery and will place a silicon disc between the joints... pls advise which procedure is effective,proven and less costly
