If urine level increase and there is a infection in kidney than it will curable Or not.. Please sugest me sir\madam

Recently before 1 month I had a laproscopy of cholethesiasis after that I am quite good well but now I have se symptoms in urine so my doctor advise me urine test in which urine infection is there ,he prescribe me amikacin injection 500 mg twice a day for 10 days,and recommend me to do ultrasound and urine culture test ,is there any serious thing or it is because of laproscopy???
