I am 58 years and diabetic. Struggling to survive due to guilt and a shameful lifestyle with deliberately isolating myself in the office, loss of personality, low esteem, posture and repute including abject poverty. Suffering panic disorder, anxiety and agoraphobia for almost 10 years. I have been taking paroxetine 50mg and pregabalin 300mg BD. Whilst I did feel therapeutic effect from the pregabalin, the paroxetine seemed to have no effect. I have been taking it since a short spell in the psych unit in early 2014. I have decided to start to wean off the paroxetine, I am on day 2 of 45mg/day. I have been unable to taper with supervision as I cannot get an appointment with a psych dr locally.
