Kidney Problems

It's been 8 months after removal of stones still my brother suffering from pain under below of both ribs and having body pains,urinary problems like urinary pain,burn and having weariness.why this could be?

My son is suffering from puj obstruction. He is 2 month old. I did his ec scan it shows that left kidney worked just46%and 54% worked right kidney. I did sonography also it shows 27 mm dilated. Dr told me for surgery. Please tell me in this case I must do surgey? If I did surgery than whts the success ratio for that. In future any problem occur?
