Urinary Incontinence- Loss of Control

Can a TB hydrocephalus patient who has undergone shunting regain bladder control after gradual recovery? My uncle was paraplegic during diagnosis of brain Tb and had loss of urine and bladder control. With treatment, he has recovered to some extent like walking with walker and getting the sense of going to latrine, getting rid of heavy pain, among others. However he doesn't know when he needs to urinate. Would it improve over time? Is there any surgical intervention required? He has recently started using an "Innovo urine stimulator machine" for his therapy. Is there any chance for him to regain urinary control? He has been put into: AKT3(after two and a half months of AKT4), Tab Rejunex, Ursocol, Tab Betheran etc. He has no other ailments.
