Doctor has prescribed Galvus met 50/500 mg to my father but since our financial condition is weak and not stable so Galvus met is costly for us.one of my father's friend is a doctor and he told my father to use Tenepla M 20/500 and my father's doctor also said it is ok but i have some doubt about its effectiveness can someone clear my doubt

I am 27 yrs old. I am suffering from type 2 diabetes. I started taking insulin and blisto 1mf tablets everyday mrng before breakfast. After 1 month it came into control. I stopped taking insulin and taking only tablets. Some times the sugar level increases , and I will take insulin on that day and I will stop again. Is it any problem if I take insulin like this?
