I just want to ask whether should anyone take thyroid medicine before giving sample for Thyroid test . I take medicine regularly early in the morning empty stomach. i take ELTROXIN -25 MG should i take my medicine or not ?

Hello doctor, I'm obese. My Endocrinologist has prescribed me Glycomet Sr 850 twice daily for 3 months. Will I be able to lose weight with this tablet? How it works? Please explain me. Thank you.

I was hypothyroid for almost 30 years and the recent report showed me lower on TSH. I am experiencing severe weight loss and rapid heart beat in first half of day. I was taking 50 mg from mon to sat and 100 mg on Sunday. My doctor reduced the dose of my thyroid medication "Eltroxin". Now I take 50 mg on all days. It is now one month but my problems continue. I would like to know if my doctor could have further reduced the dose ? She reduced the dose very little because she said that the dose has to be reduced only little by little. My TSH as on May 2016 was 0.12 mcIU/mL. I feel my doctor is being too cautious. Please let me know if she is giving me right treatment or I should consult another doctor?

Please advise whom should I consult, an ent or endocrinologist or any other for the following symptoms; Note: I was hypothyroid for several years but recently I have become hyperthyroid. Following are the symptoms: 1. Every day morning when I wake up and sit down, I feel some block around my ear. The block is so severe that I am hardly able to hear. 2. This problem sometimes disappears in the afternoon after I have a nice hot meal. This disappearance happens few hours after I have had my lunch. But this behavior is not consistent. Sometimes it leaves 4-5 hours after lunch. But once it leaves, it doesn't come back for rest of the day. 3. I also feels that when this problem is there (let me call this as inflammation), my heart is racing too fast. When the inflammation is gone, my heart racing is normal 4. I also observed that this inflammation aggravates when I am feeling cold and when more physically active.

Hello Doc, I was on Isotretinoin tab for 6 months and had stopped taking it a month back. I have not had my monthly cycle since then. Is it because of isotretinoin tab or I should get myself checked?

I got my HB a1c on 1st April and it came to 6, got my test again on 3rd July fasting sugar was 90 and post meal 115 n urine sugar was nil. BP was 77 /58. My doc says I need to tk sugar n salt Water for energy and bp .I am confused do I need to control sugar intake or not. I try to walk evryday for 45 min and going thru loads of stress n depression and evn aftr being conscious abt diet n exercise I am gaining weight. Gained 6kgs. I am losing hair too I look bald . My condition is troubling me loads. Have hypo thyroid too n I tk 75mg thyronorm from past 12yrs. Pls guide me.
