Diabetic for 35 years and presently on insulin/tablets. I have tried various herbal medicines priced high and sold through TV ads, but none had any effect. If the Government ins involved why are they not marketing the product directly to the consumers instead of an agency. . I was diagnosed with hypothyroid about a year back when my TSH was 7.5.. i was keen on taking alternative medicine for it and hence did not start with allopathy until a month and half back when i started with thyronorm 50mg and thyrowel capsule.. now my TSH is 2.5, but i still have scanty menses and my menstrual cycle has gone from 26 days to 21 days.. could this be just because of hypothyroid or it could be PCOD? will the periods eventually get back to earlier normal state with the thyroid medication? Also i havent lost even 100 gm from the weight i put on ever since i got hypothyroid.. isnt thyroid medication supposed to reverse the weight gain?

My mother is a diabetic for nearly last 7-8 years. She is also a patient of thyroid. She is under treatment of a physician (not a diabetes specialist) for last few years. However for last 4-5 months she is constantly having a high sugar level i.e. around 300 after taking meal and nearly 240 before meal. She is also taking regular doses of the prescribed medicines and also abstaining from sweets and other prohibited food items except taking once in a while. For last 4-5 months we r having a weekly test of sugar level and finding the figures every time on the higher side. The higher level shows its effects and she every now and then has some or other problems, sometimes very serious. We are unable to understand the reason or finding any way. Can we please have suggestions regarding treatment, life style to follow, fruits/vegetables/eatables to take or avoid. Pls. Share the names of the endocrinologist also. Thanks

I am having diabetes from past 1year 8 months and doctor has prescribed to take glycomet gp1 tablet with atorlip 10mg as i have cholesterol issue. My question is long usage of diabetes tablets make kidney weak by losing proteins? Is that true?
