My fathers heart pumping rate is 22% ( Checked last month). Legs are in swelling condition. What kind of treatment is possible at this stage?

My father (55 y/o) had been given 6 months to decide on whether or not to get his second open heart surgery (First time is off-pump coronary artery bypass, using leg vein). He have diabetes and high bloody pressure. He is having the surgery at the end of the year. What are the risks?

Hi, This is about my mom. Symptoms started 1 month ago where her heart would beat like anything other. This lasts for a long period of time and than disappear.
