My father is taking medicine metoprolol for BP as suggested by a doctor. Just want to know that does this medicine reduces sodium level in body or not?

Since past 4-5 months I have been feeling terrible like there is some weight in my chest and no matter I do I can't get rid of this heavy feeling I feel lonely no matter if I'm alone or not. I don't have the energy or motivation to do anything I just lie in my bed doing nothing I pretend to be fine but I feel so much mental pain. Is this depression what should I do to get out of this. I've been taking vitamin b12 and vitamin d supplements since past 2 months but still my energy level is low. I don't know what to I don't want to keep living like this.
