Flu
Microcytosis
My recent blood report shows Hemoglobin 14.9 g/dL, RBC 5.89 million/µL, MCV 76.4 fL, and MCH 25.3 pg.
My serum iron is 83 µg/dL and TIBC is 310 µg/dL, both within normal limits.
Given these results, should I check my serum ferritin or other iron studies to rule out low iron stores or thalassemia trait?
And if ferritin is normal, what other causes might explain the low MCV and MCH despite normal hemoglobin?

Please help Should I revaccinate myself?
Doctors, Recently I heard about fake Abhayrab ARV being distributed in the markets from November 2023 of a batch number KA24014 , I took 5 doses of Abhayrab vaccine from April 2025 to May 2025 in Kolkata. The question is am I safe? I checked the batch number in my bill , none of the batch numbers have KA24014. But two of the bills had the same batch number which is KE24004 , is it possible?. And the batch numbers written on the vaccination card are different from the ones which are in the bill. I have attached the photos for clarity. Should I consider taking full 5 doses again?? Please suggest Thank you.

About vaccination syringe
Before my rabies vaccination a boy taken vaccination but don't see the nurse change the syringe or not after at my time. The Issue: When I was called for the injection, I noticed the syringe was already on the table and the needle cap was off.
Physical Findings: I observed small, clear, bubble-like droplets inside the completely empty syringe barrel before any medication was drawn into it.
Query: Are these droplets consistent with the medical-grade silicone lubricant applied by manufacturers to ensure smooth plunger movement in new, sterile syringes? I am concerned about the risk of needle reuse, although no blood or fluid residue was visible. I am very tensed. is any chance if hiv or not

Iv wound on hand
Hi Doctor,
I received an IV drip on December 9th, and four days later, I developed an open wound at the injection site that hasn’t healed yet. White pus mixed with blood drains intermittently, and there’s slight swelling on my hand. The original doctor referred me to a surgeon, who recommended a minor procedure to incise the skin, drain the pus, and stitch it up. Is there any non-surgical alternative, like an ointment or antibiotic tablets, to heal this? I’m concerned about the exact cause of the wound forming precisely at the IV site.
