Dear Sir/ ma'am Three days ago, my mother was bitten by a dog, and the bite was classified as grade 3. Today, while dressing her wound with normal saline and betadine, I used a 10 ml syringe to wash the wound with normal saline. When I pushed the syringe forcefully, normal saline sprayed out onto the wound. Due to the vigorous push, many drops of normal saline splashed back into my eye from the  inflected wound where dog bite occurred. I am concerned; could I contract rabies? Will I suffer from rabies? Hi doctor, My mother was bitten by dog on the clothes at buttock 28 days back which is suspected as rabid because of its agressive behaviour and partially paralyzed. My mother had 5 shorts of ARV , immunoglobin after 48 hours. She is having severe headaches at temples and not able to walk properly as she is having dizziness.
