I've been told to take vitamin d3 by my doctor everyday. I hear vitamin d is a hormone and not a vitamin. Could taking vitamin d3 everyday cause hormone imbalances?

Currently taking Obimet SR 500mg twice a day as prescribed and I have nausea throughout the day. I feel weak and have lost interest in things.What should I do? It's been only 4 days History: I was detected with PCOD in October 2017. After which I was given MEPARATE to get periods and I got them.
