Ear-Nose-Throat Problems

I need help to understand what is the process in case a senior citizen is tested positive. Is it mandatory to get admitted in hospital even if there are no symptoms. He had throat infection and continuous hiccups since 10 days and hence doctor suggested for Covid test. Result is positive. Is self isolation better or directly getting admitted to hospital better. Kindly reply.

In the evening. Have completed 18 days of covid isolation still pain persist. Covid test was positive on 2.9.2020 again on 15.9.2020 it was posit, however I am not feeling anything wrong only pain in throat and nose from where sample was taken. What medicine to be taken for that.
