My baby is 4 months old from last few days his potty is tight, he is taking mms milk powder, please suggest what should we do?

Hi doctors, My son is 17 months old and I breastfeed every night. I'm planning to breastfeed him until he is 3 years old. He was having a fever so we visited a hospital and the doctor there told me to stop breastfeeding feeding him completely since breastfed children might get anemic since they don't eat food properly. I don't want to stop since I've heard that breastfeeding increases his immunity and it's good as long as a baby is breastfed. Please advise if I should stop.
