My son 3 months and 4 days old. He is having saliva in his mouth. He is been doing throw up action throughout day.  He does it in between feedings also. He does it even after proper burping. Is it due to saliva or anything else?

My question is will it cause any side effects now or in the future? He told to continue this syrup till 2 years. Doctor told to check baby's platelet count? I'm afraid of side effects. Please guide
