Hi doctor My 2 year old son has sudden fever today. Day before yesterday i took him to the doctor for his loose motion. They told he has toddler diaherra with constipation. So they gave laxolite syrup 5 ml morning and night. I gave yesterday and today. And sudden fever today from evening. I am very worried. Does fever cause because of the syrup?

Our paediatrician told us to switch from Similac Advance Stage 1 to NAN PRO Excella Stage 1 due to constipation issues in my baby. Her poop looks like hard pellets and she strains a bit while pooping. She is formula-fed because of lactation issues. The baby is 29 days old and weighs 4.2 kg (she weighed 3.6 kg three weeks ago). She takes 60 ml of formula every 2 to 3 hours, with a total of 9 to 10 feeds a day. I am giving her a multivitamin (0.5 ml) and vitamin D (400 IU, 1 ml) daily. The paediatrician gave us Ferrobax Kidz and Ca++ Bytes drops. I assume formula is already fortified, I am using multivitamin and she is a full term baby born on 40th week. Does she also need iron and calcium drops? Please note we are in remote town and can’t question the doctor.

My daughter's vit d level is detected very low after blood test. Her feet,sole and legs pain a lot specially at night and many times she gets mouth ulcers. She is 9 years old and her birth weight is 2.5 kgs .she is underweight also but active.kindly suggest the best supplements for her deficiency and pains . thank you

Hello Doctor, Could you please suggest if Calcimax -P can be given to a newborn baby. And what should be the dose. Is it 1.5Ml 2 times ?

I followed a blog written by a doctor which mentioned barley water can be given to 5 month baby. So I started barley water for my 5.5 months old son. First day gave 2-3 spoons, second day gave 30 ml, third day gave 60 ml and fourth day gave 90 ml. Then a family member told me it may not be safe to give this much liquid to the baby. Should I continue giving barley water or stop? Is it not safe?
