Hi my breath feels little heavy when I take long breath. At the same time when I sleep or ignore it I feel normal. How to avoid it?

My father is 62 year old and he is on TB treatment since the past 14 months. Although, there is recovery in terms of cough reduction and normal appetite, his weight is still low and he experiences abdominal spasms daily. How can we reduce the spasms? Hello, I am a 34 years old male use to feel shortness of breathing intermittently that last for few hours or sometimes 1 or 2 days for last 10 years which subsides automatically.
