Chest & Breathing Problems

Hi, I started having short breaths 2 months back, I got my cardio checkups done and all tests came normal. I started working out 5 days a week and reduced some weight too & I didn't feel any shortness of breath. Now from 2-3 days I am again feeling the same. I am able to run 3+ KMs and do weight training in gym as well everyday. Still I feel shortness of breath while at rest, do I need to be worried and see a Pulmonologist?

My daughter has frequent cough which starts normally after 3-4 hours of sleep at night.We give her water and the cough goes after a burst of 20-30 seconds.It then reoccurs after couple of hours and this is how we spend our nights.Please advise
