What are uses of MRI chest and when it is ordered by the doctor and how is it different from CT Chest ? MRI chest focuses on what areas in chest and how does it differ from CT Chest in this prospect ?

What are the uses of MRI chest in radio diagnosis. How does it differ with CT Chest ? What are different parts of chest which would be accurately visible on chest MRI ? In what aspects does the MRI chest differ from CT Chest ?

Is it possible to feel the lymph nodes of the chest during physical examination of the chest area ? Can chest lymph nodes be usually felt ?

My Dad has developed Dyspnea from past 4 months and he has taken cipralex and zapiZ to control that but it didn't work and post investigation we got his calcified mitral valve replaced and after a month of surgery ,shortness of breath is still there and chest x-ray is clear. Kindly suggest how to control that and heavily snores in the night

I have a hard time breathing for the past few days. I always yawn even if i am not sleepy. I feel like something is always stuck in my throat. when I'm trying to breathe deeply, my neck and back part hurts. I'm also always out of breath

Is there no use of chest ultrasound in modern day world because doctors write only chest X-ray or Chest CT scan.But I haven't seen any doctor ordering chest ultrasound. Why is it so ? Why is it not done ? If it is done then what are its advantages over Chest X ray.

I have cough from 2 months it started with cold , most of the time it is dry but when occurs with cold it becomes productive. After 1.5 months it stopped for 5 days and then again cold n cough reoccur . No medicines are working .

I inhaled some smoke when my kitchen chimney caught fire.i saw black smoke coming out of chimney outlet and rushed down from my staircase.the stairs are outdoor but have created a enclosed type space.i took 2-3 whiffs of chimney smoke while rushing down and started coughing due to chilly smoke. I had mild throat irritation for 2 days.now after few days i still get some throat problems like got some injury to throat while eating that healed and some other problems like pain on one side of throat that healed. I want to know if there is any effect of such smoke inhalation to body because i feel out of breath sometimes and fatigued.

I have been getting recurring cold and cough since last 3 months of winter. It usually starts with coughing and wheezing sound while breathing and gets worse at night. Then it develops in cold and cough, goes away when I take medicines and comes back again in a few days/weeks. I have been smoking since last 3 years, but not chainsmoking. It has been limited to 2-3 cigarettes a day. I have stopped since last 2 weeks and haven't smoked while I had cold and cough. Since this problem has started, exercising or any other strenuous physcial activity flares up the breathing problem as well. I also have blue tint in my nails and itchy/watery eyes. Please suggest what it could be and what all tests to expect when I see a pulmonologist.
