What does BAL usually cost in India?

I have ABPA. I don’t have asthma, no cough, and no mucus. But I feel a very sharp pain in my lung, and it comes and goes. Also feel sudden breathing changes, like fluctuation in effort or depth. I’m worried this could be early colonization by Aspergillus. Can I ask my doctor for a bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL)? Will it detect fungal colonization and be helpful? If yes, what does BAL usually cost in India?

Acebrophylline and montleukast

Hello Doctor, My sister has been having a cough for the past 4 days. The cough is worse at night and is associated with mucus and a runny nose. There's no fever. She was prescribed an antibiotic, a syrup containing ambroxol and guaifenesin, montelukast, and acebrophylline. I’d like to know if the antibiotic and syrup alone would be enough, or are montelukast and acebrophylline also necessary in her case? Thank you for your advice.

Will it work?

Hi everyone, I have ABPA (Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis) and I'm looking for treatment options. I recently came to know that conventional Amphotericin B (deoxycholate) can be used through a nebulizer to help treat fungal infections in the lungs. I was told that: The medicine costs around ₹200 per vial A nebulizer machine costs around ₹1,000–₹1,500 I understand that Amphotericin B is not a standard treatment for ABPA, which is more of an allergic reaction to Aspergillus, not a direct fungal infection. However, since I have a kidney condition and cannot take oral antifungal medicines, I’m exploring inhaled options under medical supervision. Is this approach safe or helpful for ABPA? Has anyone here used nebulized Amphotericin B for ABPA or similar lung conditions? Also, for nebulizer use, should I use the conventional or liposomal type?
