Chest & Breathing Problems

I went for a swim in a public pool one day.  A week later, I got a cough. The worst cough of my life. I would cough 24×7 and very intensely. It transmitted to everyone in my family. I had to drink 10 to 15 bottles of cough syrup. After coughing for a month, I coughed up trace amounts of blood one day. Went to a pulmonologist and he did a CT scan.  Doctor said it wasn't TB or Pneumonia but upper respiratory tract infection and prescribed  medicine which were antibiotics, blood clotting agents etc, it took me another 1.5  months to get rid of the cough. All in all cough stayed for like 2 months. But it's been 5 months or so since the cough started and I still feel chest pain. And not just chest pain, it feels as if the pain is coming from inside the lungs. I don't have any other symptoms. Sometimes when I try to breathe deep it hurts, sometimes my chest hurts upon pressing. And now there is no cough or blood. What's wrong? Costochondritis or Pleurisy? Do I get chest x-ray or Sputum test?

Hi I do have high BP and take medicines. It's under control with medicines. I do measure the BP once in a few weeks at home just to check.  Whenever I check my BP, it also shows my pulse rate and it's always higher. Around 100-120. Then I will sit down for a while and keep checking it for a few minutes. It will show up 100-110.  Never goes down below 100. I asked my doctor about this during my visits and he said it's ok. During my visits, they do check vitals and pulse rate will be around 90-100.  They were never concerned about it at all. I am 40 years old and obese.  Does this pulse rate normal or need to be checked out? Do I need to sit down for sometime before checking the pulse rate? I just simply stand and check it sometimes with pulse meter.

I have been having breathing problems almost every day since 2023. Sometimes my chest feels tight and I feel like I can’t get enough air. My heart beats fast when this happens. It becomes worse in cold weather or when I cry or get anxious, but it can also happen without any clear reason. I don’t usually have wheezing, but I feel a lump in my throat sometimes and drinking water can make it worse. Calming down helps a bit. I also get coughing at night sometimes. There is no big mucus, no frequent allergies, and no family history of asthma that I know of. This breathing issue sometimes forces me to stop activities. I have never been checked by a doctor for it before.

I have cough from 1 month But slowly gets better but not completely reduced Now if I cough my breath not come back I m very much struggling to breathe White colour plum also come No fever but weakness, body aches I am not sure what am I doing Please proscribe medication for me Thank you

I am living in ghaziabad and here AQI level is 500+ during oct to feb … and from past 2-3 years I was facing chest congestion and breathlessness during this season but very occasionally but this year I am having chest congestion and throat irritation and breathlessness almost every morning and when I take montek lc it got me relief

My chest xray report was normal, since cough was there so i dis HRCT Thorax where it says small area of consolidation in right lung, I have a smoking history, how to treat this

My daughter who was diagnosed showed signs of wheezing when she was 7 month old.She was later diagnosed with severe acute asthma and was on treatment for same.When she was 9 months with no though though was on regular nebulizer with budecorte her wheeze shooted and was in IMCU with required care. And later discharged.Sinxe her 7 month she is on nebulizer and inhaler & also on montair LC.when she was 2yr she had pneumonia when put her condition on risk and later she got cured & after that she was on foracorte200 for 8 months along with montair LC during which she don't show any wheezing signs.Once the dose was completed later 3 months again she started showing wheezing signs and now after 1 yr she keeps getting wheezing frequently for which she is on Budecorte,iprazest & hyperneb nebulization on a regular basis or her wheeze flares up then a injecywitg medication is given. She started her preschool during which she kept getting cold and fever which made her worse.herCTchest& angio norma

Doctor, could you please suggest a cough syrup with similar ingredients to Bro-Zedex (Terbutaline 1.25 mg, Bromhexine 4 mg, Guaifenesin 50 mg, and Menthol) ? Are generic versions equally effective ? Bro-Zedex is quite expensive.

I am facing heaving breathing and constant sneezing in gurgaon , i need a medical certificate or prescription so that i can apply for leave
