Chest & Breathing Problems

My mother was suffering from lung infection from 20th May with high fever and cough CRP was 55.After treatment with antibiotic the cough and fever improved but she was suffering from extreme fatigue now crp is 4.60, haemoglobin 11 chest xray normal and pft is Also normal. The concern is she is suffering from extreme tiredness not able to perform daily activities and also shortness of breath on doing work Kindly advise.

Hello I had cold and cough, I went to ER yesterday, they had given me budecort 0.5 MG through nebulization, I came to know it's a steroid, hence I want to know if this one time use have any affects on my health as it being a steroid. we are hearing many people who are suffering with health conditions after taking steroids during covid time, can this one time use have any affect on me, Will I have any consequences on my health in future. Appreciate your kind response, thanks in advance.

When she sleeps..she breathes heavy..she feels no issue..what could be the reason? Like the breathing is audible feels like she's trying but she's okay when i asked..

Is it okay to reuse N95 masks for 3 days and store in a plastic cover? I recently bought a packet of N95 masks. Since they are expensive, I use each mask for 3 days. After each use, I store it in a clean plastic cover. After 3 days, I throw the mask away and use a new one. Is this method safe? Or should I use the mask only one time and throw it immediately? What is the best and safe way to use N95 masks?

On 20/04/2025 i developed some lung burning sensation then i did my hrct on 26/04/2025 which showed mild central bronchiectasis and centrilobular nodes in my both lungs...infective bronchiolitis till now my life is in deep distress due to fatigue and chest discomfort my job my future goals are compromised...my bal shows few inflammatory cells and PFT shows obstruction as FEV1/FVC are mildly reduced but FEF25-75% is higly reduced.When Will This Torture Is Gonna End How Many More Time I Have Wait To Go For Oxygen And Then To... i am in trouble coz now i just see one option that is to finish myself no other way coz i dont wanna bea burden my old parents anymore as i know with each passing day my lungs will go for more damage

Severe coughing and seems to be a throat infection from the last week. Advised to take budamate and duolin. But that causes more throat irritation.noy able to sleep at night because of continuous coughing.appreciate  for any advice

🩺 Health Update – Need Advice 🙏 Right now, I’m feeling like my throat is filled with something, and I have a tight chest. I also started having mild breathing problems. I have severe acid reflux and bronchitis. I had a viral infection around 3 weeks ago. I tried steam inhalation, but it didn’t help much. I’m thinking of adding salt  to the steam. 👉 My question is: Is it mostly safe or risky — does it need a doctor’s permission? Anyone with experience, please guide me. Thank you! 💬🙏

Hello doctors, I had a viral infection on 14th June 2025. After that, I developed white mucus with  cough. I met my pulmonologist on 21st June 2025. My chest X-ray was done before the viral infection, on 9th June 2025 (attached below). The doctor prescribed me Cetirizine (antihistamine) and Macbery DX cough syrup for 5 days. After taking the syrup, my cough improved. But I still have mild white mucus. Now I am not taking any medicine or using any inhaler. I’m worried because I don’t have asthma or cystic fibrosis, but during a skin prick test (done for another reason), I found out I’m allergic to Aspergillus fumigatus. I’m concerned that this remaining mucus could lead to fungal colonization. Please advise: Is it normal to have mild mucus after infection? Should I be worried about fungal colonization? What should be my next steps?

I had this problem since 5 days , gets jerking sensation sometimes around breastbone and upper back pain .
