Chest & Breathing Problems

My friend is suffering from fever and facing pain in breathing. On assessment it discovered that there is fluid in her right lung. Reports tell that she is suffering from pleural effusion. I want to ask you that how much serious this disease is. She is having Thoracentesis to remove fluid inside the lung. Can you please tell me how serious this disease is and how to get rid of this disease

I'm facing eosinophilic cough for 5 years and now it has become chronic. I didn't all tests .they are fine except eosinophils are almost double.
