Prolonged COUGH n Mucus , fever 99-100 F
Any PULMOLOGIST/CHEST SPECIALIST help in DIAGNOSIS of my problem- I've been having COUGH, especially in night since last 1.5 months. Wheezing in chest when COUGH. Still difficulty in moving out MUCUS, certain time vomit with thin saliva type mucus. Low grade fever 99-100 F TEST done so far - GRAM STAIN - FEW GRAM POSITIVE BACILLI SPUTUM CULTURE - No GROWTH X RAY - OK AFB - NEGATIVE Treatment taken so far - 8 days CEPHAKIND-500 Mg twice daily antibiotics course Sorex-T COUGH SYRUP PLZ HELP

Hi. I understand your concern s. You will need to undergo a detailed examination. If x ray is normal but still fever is not settling . We need to look for other causes. Also you will need to undergo a pulmonary function test which is needed for the diagnosis and to assess severity of bronchitis based on which treatment can be started. Consult a pulmonologist for the same.
